Best drawers ever CarolineI love these drawers for organization and saving space. I’ve brought them with me to multiple dorm rooms and had them in my bedroom at home now for years. They’ve held up very nicely and I bought them in like 2021. I keep seeing reviews of people saying they aren’t good quality so I hope they haven’t changed anything since I purchased last. Love them and would definitely recommend!

Considering it’s a 9 drawer unit, it goes together fairly easily. Thanks to IKEA for pre-mounting the drawer slides! But that brings me to the only ding on this product (and many other IKEA products). The drawers don’t open all the way. They open maybe 2/3? (optimistically 75%) If they’d replace the drawer slides with full extension ones this would be an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Still, it’s a good product and solid value.
Great, affordable storageDeeThis is a great cabinet for storage. It would be nice if Ikea would offer a version without the dips in the front panel. Many of spend time and money attaching wood to the front to make it look less like an inexpensive cabinet.
Bad QualityKylieBad quality. The drawers won’t fit and keep falling off the bars. Screws don’t even do anything to keep it together. First it was one drawer and then it became all drawers that started to break. Very disappointing and definitely not worth the price. Do not get this.

Wanted to Love, poorly madeAshleeUnfortunately, the Alex drawers I got were garbage. It was perfect at first, the size is exactly what I needed, it fit the space and allowed me to organize everything I needed to. After 5 months I started having trouble with one of the drawers coming off the track now at 6 months the bottom 6 drawers are completely off the track the outside section is completely warped. It's stored in my house so no crazy temperature changes. This isn't something I use daily and it doesn't store anything heavy so there is no reason for it to fail so quickly. I'll be looking for a replacement

Ok qualityJenniferI went to the Stoughton ikea store last month for a sitstand desk and unfortunately they were under reno & only had a couple desk available to view by the checkout. I ended up getting one but left without a storage solution due to the Reno. I found this online when I got home and ordered it, & it is exactly what I need, I actually have the smaller version of this, that I did get in store with no blemishes and is 100% sturdy. However, this taller one that I paid to ship, has dents on the front corners on each side where the material looks like it’s about to chip off. It also is not as sturdy & rocks back & forth and I have it in the same location I had the smaller one prior. This is the first ikea item I have ever got where I was disappointed in the quality. I wish the damaged corners of it were on the bottom & not on either side of the front top, sticking out like a sore thumb. Since it’s too much of a hassle to return I will be keeping it but I hoped for better quality for $230..

Drawer assembly CharlesIf you follow the instructions and mount the unit to the wall (which is not a straightforward mounting process, which probably results in many users skipping the mounting process entirely and thereby creating an obvious liability issue) prior to installing the drawers, you will be in big trouble when it comes to installing the drawers if you aren’t putting the unit in the middle of your wall. Ours is going on the end, and because drawer mounting requires screwing in each side, I would have to take the wall mounting off for a normal screwdriver to fit on the side against the wall. The bigger problem is that because the wall mounting kit isn’t very good, the screw got stripped on install. Very frustrating and probably the worst piece of IKEA furniture I’ve ever bought.
